Promoting a Healthy Workplace
- BC's Active Communities Workplace Workbook (British Columbia Parks and Recreations Association): You'll need to register to download BC's Active Workplace Workbook, but it's free of charge. On page 54, you will find examples of policies that encourage employees to be active. Use the information, resources and tools to help develop and implement a workplace physical activity initiative that best fits your workplace setting.
- Health at Work (British Heart Foundation): An excellent website loaded with tools, information, resources, success stories, frequently asked questions and links.
- Healthy Workplace Resources (National Quality Institute): Offers healthy workplace assessment tools, including one for small workplaces.
- Physical Activity in the Workplace: A Guide (Exercise is Medicine® Australia): This Guide is intended to support organisations in the promotion of physical activity in the workplace and to reduce sedentary behaviour. It is a collation of current evidence and best practice, including a toolkit of resources and audit tools.
