Your profile – the WHO, the WHAT and the WHY |
I came to the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department in August 2010. Prior to that, I worked as a staff scientist in Dr. Thundat's group at the Oak Ridge National Lab in Tennessee I received my B.S. in 2002 in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where I worked on the development of array-based microcantilever biosensors in Professor Arun Majumdar's group and completed my Ph.D. in Pathology in 2007 at the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California under Professors Richard Cote and Ram Datar . I continued my work with microcantilever biosensors and developed a filter-based microdevice for enumeration and characterization of circulating tumor cells in collaboration with Professor Y-C Tai, Prof. Siyang Zheng and Dr. Marija Balic. My current research interests include development of biosensors for diagnostic application and research enabling platforms to tackle complex biological problems such as metastasis. |
