1951 Chevy- Part 1

This 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe was a common sight on the roads after the war. I had however not seen one for many decades. As it happened, the other day I was walking around my neighbourhood and saw this parked on the driveway of a house barely a block from my home.

This car brought back memories of my childhood. I immediately went home, got my sketch pad, a pencil and an eraser. I sat on a rock in the front yard and started sketching this beautiful, vintage car.

As I was adding the finishing touches, a gentleman walks over from the back of the house admired my sketch and started chatting about the car, its history and the restoration it had undergone. Once he realized that I was an artist he commissioned me to paint the car.
