Larysa Hodder

Research Administrator
Larysa Hodder joined the CCWJ as a Research Administrator in 2023. Integral to the Centre’s functioning, she helps manage the day-to-day administrative operations for the CCWJ, making sure everything runs smoothly. Her work includes keeping records organized, preparing reports, tracking expenses, scheduling meetings and events, arranging travel, and ordering supplies, all to support the lab’s activities efficiently.

Jay Kahar

Research Administrator
Jay Kahar has been a Research Administrator with the CCWJ since 2024. Recently completing an MEng in April of 2025, Jay was previously a Volunteer and Graduate Research Assistant with the CCWJ between 2024 and 2025. His main responsibilities include assisting with research proposals, managing project budgets, organizing procurement, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. Jay also helps coordinate internal lab operations, from purchasing and reimbursements to scheduling, communications and event planning.

Melody Mah

Strategic Communications Associate
Melody Mah joined the CCWJ as a Strategic Communications Associate in May of 2025. Prior, she was a casual Assistant for the Centre. She is currently in her fifth year of undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, where she pursues a BA in Media and Technology Studies with Minors in Computing Science and Economics. Melody is responsible for extending the reputation of the CCWJ in both internal and external media relations, and also assists with the development of the CCWJ’s website.
