Birthday trip to Okinawa
...pictures from November 2-7, 2005
Matt, Sarah, and I took advantage of Japan's super-cheap birthday airfare and headed to Okinawa for five days. It was surprisingly hot for November and the ocean was very warm. We stayed at a guest house in the city of Naha for $15 a night. Naha was a bigger city than I expected and it had a cool castle as well. It also had a monorail that served much of the city and made getting around very convenient. Matt and I took a three hour ferry to Kume Island, which had some unique rock formations caused by lava flows on the beach.
