These photos are from the Ishinomaki area of Miyagi prefecture, Japan. Miyagi is in northern Honshu, a couple hours by shinkansen (bullet train) north of Tokyo. It's a beautiful, rural area of Japan with forests, mountains, rivers and coastline as far as the eye can see.
