I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Reservoir Geomechnics Research Group, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am working on applying machine learning-based techniques to experimental and numerical modeling of reservoir geomechanics. I am working under the guidence of Prof. Rick Chalaturnyk.
I also pursued my doctoral studies in Process Control at the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department.I focused on the following topics
- Proxy/surrogate modeling of complex (large scale distributed parameters) systems
- Machine learning techniques
- Graph models based structural controllability and observability of complex systems
- Uncertainty quantification through polynomial chaos expansion
- Model predictive controller design
I worked on my thesis titled
"Proxy model-based closed loop reservoir management: A data driven approach"
Where I pursued the problem of modeling, control and optimization of petroleum reservoir using proxy models developed from the simulation data under the guidence of Prof. Vinay Prasad and Prof. Rick Chalaturnyk. Please refer to my thesis/resume (in the downloads tab) and the google scholar link for more details.
