Micah Sellers

Co-Op - Mechatronics Engineering

mjseller@ualberta.ca LinkedIn

Micah Sellers is an undergraduate Mechatronics co-op student at the University of Alberta who joined the CCWJ in 2026. His work supports research in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) by re-commissioning a Fanuc welding robot and developing custom software to enable adaptive layer-height control. He is involved in hands-on robotics, welding automation, and software development to better understand how adaptive control can improve WAAM processes.

Micah was drawn to the CCWJ by his interest in learning from highly experienced researchers and gaining access to the lab’s wide range of advanced equipment.

Outside of academics, Micah enjoys playing music and rock climbing.
