Jasmine Mah is an undergraduate Computer Engineering co-op student at the University of Alberta who joined the CCWJ in 2026. Her work focuses on welding automation by restoring a FANUC industrial robot and collecting operational data to support future automation and robotics research. Through this work, she is gaining hands-on experience with industrial robotic systems and their application in advanced manufacturing.
Jasmine joined the CCWJ to explore industrial applications of Computer Engineering through robotics, an area she had not previously worked in. Her previous co-op experiences focused primarily on embedded systems for space applications, and she was excited to broaden her experience in industrial automation.
Outside of academics, Jasmine enjoys retro gaming, listening to electronic music, and participating in the University of Alberta Space Physics Group.
