I am a geologist whose research focuses on fluids in the Earth, especially the properties and roles of fluids that form ore deposits.
Some of my recent research has focused on fluids that form iron oxide-apatite deposits, roles of hydrocarbons in forming carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn deposits, solubilities of minerals in saline hydrothermal fluids, and fluid phase equilibria in hydrothermal ore-forming systems.
I am a recipient of the Young Scientist Award from the Mineralogical Association of Canada, Hisashi Kuno award from AGU, a CAREER grant from the US National Science Foundation, and a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship.
