If your wish to spend a semester in Granada and obtain transfer credits, you have 2 program options:

1) The language stream, known as the CILE (Curso Intensivo de Lengua Española) program, if you are not yet at a SPAN 300 level, and

2) The literature/culture stream, known as the CEH (Curso de Estudios Hispánicos) program, for higher level literature and culture courses.

For the CEH, literature/culture stream, students will need to pass a Level 6 placement exam to enter the CEH program. Most students who completed Spanish 300 have entered this program. To maximize your chances of passing Level 6, it is strongly recommended that you take the one month intensive language course that is offered during the month that precedes the start of each semester (September and January). It is offered as part of the CILE program.
