I am a condensed matter theorist primarily interested in emergent phenomena in quantum many-body systems, with a focus on topological phases of matter.
My research has been funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) program, the New Frontiers in Resarch Fund (NFRF), and the Collaborative Research Group (CRG) program of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS). I am a member of the Theoretical Physics Institute (TPI) at the University of Alberta and of Quantum Horizons Alberta (QHA), as well as an affiliate of the Perimeter Institute.
The University of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/ Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
