Students intending on beginning a graduate career with Dr. Foote as their supervisor are encouraged to contact him via email to discuss possibilities.

Contacting at least one of his graduate students is also recommended.

Dr. Foote, and consequently many of his students, work closely with a multi-disciplinary research groups. Publishing articles from these collaborations sometimes involves authorship conflict; to address stakeholder concerns there are some rules concerning authorship Dr. Foote would like his student to understand.

Dr. Foote is a public advocate for many wildlife-related causes. While he certainly does not require that his students sympathize with his point of view (quite the opposite, actually) he would like potential students to understand it. Download an example of a complex controversial topic here.

Lee expects his students to have reasonable skills when it comes to data organization. Download some guidelines here.

Finally, Lee has some questions and guidelines for potential graduate students he would like you to keep in mind when you contact him.
