Dr. Gonzalo Zambrano-N. is the Technical Program Manager of Foundation CMG Industrial Research Chair, Dr. Zambrano-N. manages the daily operations of the program, including assisting Dr. Chalaturnyk in coordinating the research projects and interacting with and supervising the graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research associates and technicians. Dr. Zambrano-N joined (RG)2 as a graduate student conducting research on downhole reservoir surveillance technologies with application on CO2 geological storage, and one of the outcomes of his doctoral work resulted in a Patent of a downhole housing system and method. CCS projects that he has been involved in are IEA GHG Weyburn-Midale CO2 monitoring and storage project, Penn West CO2-EOR pilot project, Carbon/Storage Enhanced Methane Project (CSEMP) ECBM, CCS-APEC Study and Aquistore. Dr. Zambrano has significant experience in the area of characterization and constitutive behaviour of reservoirs with focus in geomechanics. Also, Dr. Zambrano conducts research in the area of physical modelling techniques at GeoCERF - Geotechnical Centrifuge Experimental Research Facility.
