GIS Day is a global event that is part of the National Geographic Society's Geography Awareness Week held in November. UofA's GIS Day is the perfect occasion for users of Geographic Information Systems across all departments at the University of Alberta to showcase their research and education applications and explore potential collaborations. The official date was on the 14th this year, but because there were no classes we celebrated on Tues Nov 13th.

Our annual celebration in 2012 was the biggest yet...
about 110 attendees from over 16 different departments enjoyed 9 very diverse presentations!
