Coalition Against War And Racism (CAWAR) members seek to propagate discussion about the underlying, systemic causes of war and racism and to promote humanitarian and egalitarian alternatives. They maintain an informative website and regularly host speakers, demonstrations, rallies, workshops, and film events to promote peaceful foreign policy alternatives.

CAWAR is also working with the APIRG Media group to analyze news coverage of events in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The U of A Coalition Against War and Racism's weekly meeting are Thursday at 4:30pm in Humanities 1-7. All Students/Professors/Activists interested in opposing the war are invited to attend.
