When young people are called on to perform the rus’ka dance at ceremonial moments during Svitlana and Vasyl’s wedding, they tend to perform a “young peoples’” version of the dance (molodizhna means “for young people”). The form of this dance is lighter and simpler, more relaxed. It is performed several ceremonial times, and also often simply as a part of the social dance. Sometimes the focus is on the dancers holding hands in a circle, as in the previous example. Other times, the bride or someone else dances in the centre.
