Hybrids
All breeding done at Weyerhaeusers Tree Improvment Centre. All crosses were controled for pollen contamination by using isolation cages. Seed was extracted and sent to nusery in the same year collected to produce a crop the follwing year. Pollen for exotic source sent by courier. Test trees where container stock and over wintered in cold storage and planted dormant spring following year
Proveance trial
Seed collected over an number of years and sown at one nusery for all experiments.

Experimental design
All experiments are randomized complete block designs. Sorting of trial material occured at nursery where trees where grown and placed in labled boxes by site and rep. Randomization within rep was done by planter randomely picking their trees. Mapping was done post plant as each tree had unique lable place around root collar at time of green house lift.
