Each year, graduate students present their research projects during the Graduate Research Symposium at the University of Alberta. Abstracts can be submitted either for an oral presentation or a poster. While there is no selection procedure for abstracts submitted for the poster session, there is a competitive audition for the oral presentations.

 

All the abstracts submitted for the oral presentation will be preliminary reviewed and categorized by the members of GRS academic committee. No elimination or evaluation will be executed at this stage.

 

There will be an audition for each research category during which participants must rehears their presentations. In each category, one or two presenters will be selected based on the reviews of the evaluation committee, which consists of at least three faculty members working in the same field. The results will be sent to each presenter individually.

 

The participants whose submission is not accepted for the oral presentation can present their work in the poster session. Details of this process will be sent to participants by email.
