James obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004. He has seven years
experience working as an engineer in R&D in the pharmaceutical,
biotechnology, and medical device industries.
James is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. His
research interests
include atomization of superheated liquids and particle formation from
evaporating solution droplets, with potential applications to spray
drying processes and respiratory drug delivery devices. He held a
2013-2014
studentship award from the Lung Association of Alberta & NWT.
