What: Presented by Alex: I am holding meetings every day of next week. It is not like I have a fetish for meetings or something - I actually hate them. But what I do want to do is personally meet as many SAGA members face-to-face as possible and have real conversations with them. You can also tell me which volunteer jobs you want to sign up for, what you like about SAGA, what you hate about SAGA, and we can talk about where you want this club to go.

The meetings are held every day so nobody is excluded by scheduling conflicts; but I obviously don’t expect you to attend all of them. I will though and it will probably take up most of my week; but I figure in the long run it will save me lots and lots of time and give me needed sleep.

Please read the The Future of SAGA for my thoughts.

What is the true Islamic spirit in the case of justice, equality and freedom? Can Sharia law make a difference in Canada?

Thursday: Canada's Descent - Muhammad Al Shareef, scholar and educator
What has Canada become today? With surveillance, tracking of e-mails, mass suspicion, not to mention a war in Afghanistan, are we spiraling towards homegrown terror, state terror, or both? What should we know, and what can we do as citizens?

Friday: A Canadian Muslims vision for a better nation: Where we are? Where do we go? How do we get there? - with both Muhammad Al Shareef and Faisal Kutty
As the wrap-up to a challenging and informing week, both of our acclaimed speakers will present what we, as Canadians and Muslims, need and want for the betterment of society. WHAT IS SAGA'S MAIN GOAL??

Simply, we want to get YOU thinking.

Open up your mind, you are more powerful than you think. Behind all the funny t-shirts and important fundraisers this is what we really want. You don't have to be perfect and you don't have to be a stereotype, but why can't we be original and have passionate ideas.

    Lets be FEARLESS.
If there was a whole generation of creative, young, educated, open-minded students do you really think they couldn't make a difference in the world?

It can't just be me and it can't just be you. It is all about motivation. We need ideas and we need people behind the ideas. If enough people want something, they can get it.
There is strength in numbers. Thousands and thousands can create a critical mass and seriously save someone's life.

Maybe it's a little crazy... but this is the idea that I came up with under the stars one night.
