The POWER New Emerging Team included University of Alberta investigators Kim Raine (Principal Investigator), John Church, Linda McCargar, Candace Nykiforuk, Ron Plotnikoff, John C. Spence, Helen Vallianatos, Cam Wild and Noreen Willows, as well as numerous collaborators, students and research staff.
The purpose of the POWER NET was to investigate behavioural, environmental and social determinants of obesity through a variety of research projects and to examine the impact of interventions for the promotion of healthy weights at multiple ecological levels (individual, community, organizational, policy, environmental).
