EDSE 578

Weight: 10%- Presentation and moderating an issue
10%- Participation in online discussion of issue

Due Date: Varies - you must sign-up for a time slot.

  1. Check out some of the issues in the Technology Integration Issues NetSteps http://www.quasar.ualberta.ca/techcur/theory/netsteps/menu.htm

  2. Choose one of these issues (or another approved issue) that you would like to research further. Find an article related to the issue and summarize the key ideas. Provide us with your own critique/reflection of the article (maximum one page).

  3. Post your summary to the Web Board under the appropriate conference. Your presentation of the issue should end with your views of the issue and a question or two that will generate an online discussion.

  4. It will be you responsibilty to moderate the discussion for one week.

  5. Review the posting in your online discussion. Use Inspiration or SmartIdeas to produce a concept map that highlights the various facets of your chosen issue and the online discussion. Post the concept map to the Web Board as an attachment.

  2. Select one of the articles listed or find a different one that pertains to the issue. Provide a summary of the article along with your reflections on the issue. This should be between 250-300 words.

  3. Post your summary to the Web Board under the appropriate conference. Your presentation of the issue should end with your views of the issue and a question or two that will generate an online discussion.

  4. It will be your responsibility to moderate the discussion for one week.
