Our current projects include several research areas that are interrelated and complement each other in many ways. Three major research directions of our lab are: computational neuroanatomy, normal and pathological aging, and brain changes in depression. In our lab we developed advanced neuroimaging methods to analyze different brain structures and their connections in the living human brain. Applications of these unique techniques allow us to study brain plasticity in-vivo. Our main goal is to understand how different brain structures work together in order to maintain cognitive functions in normal and neuropsychiatric conditions.
