Using Internet search engines, compile an annotated bibliography of these topics:
I compiled this bibliography of online resources by conducting searches on Alta Vista, Yahoo, Excite, Hotbot, and InfoSeek. I have followed the MLA bibliographic style, supplemented by Online! A Reference Guide to Using Internet Resources, by Andrew Harnack and Eugene Kleppinger. Online gives ways to quote Internet documents following whatever style you have chosen to use, including MLA. Online instructs researchers to cite the URL, followed by the date you accessed the site.

Davies' article documents the negative impact of technology on the right to privacy of individuals, and the fact that governmental and social attitudes towards privacy must change if we are to preserve a civilized society.

Finding the site: I found this web page by conducting a search on Alta Vista. I simply searched the word "privacy," and this web page was one of the top five hits.
In this article, McCarthy documents the "nine basic threats to web security" and suggests ways to deal with these threats.
Links: I went intoYahoo, clicked on the "options" link beside the search interface, and then chose the "matches on all words" option, which allows you to combine terms to perform a Boolean search. I entered the search "Canada and Internet and Security" and chose the link to the CSCI (Computer Security Canada Inc.) homepage, then chose the link "Governments," which led to another list of links. I chose the link "Relevant Internet Sites and Newsgroups," which led me to a list of links that included the title of McCarthy's article.
