In-flight vane

In order to assess shear strength of the model, in-flight vane may be conducted. The photograph shows an in-flight vane apparatus developed by Delft university, which equips with electric motors so that the vane blade can move horizontally as well as vertically; this device is capable of conducting vane tests at different depth and locations without stopping centrifuge.
