Leptogluons

Leptogluons couple an electron to a gluon and have colour and spin 1/2 or spin 3/2. We consider only the spin 1/2 leptogluon in this generator. The width of the leptogluon is given by

equation323

where tex2html_wrap_inline1336 is the leptogluon mass, tex2html_wrap_inline1338 the strong coupling constant evaluated at the QCD scale tex2html_wrap_inline1340 and tex2html_wrap_inline1342 the scale of the interaction strengthgif (the inverse scale of possible substructure).

The differential cross-section is given by

equation333

where tex2html_wrap_inline1348 , tex2html_wrap_inline1350 and g is the gluon density in the proton at momentum fraction x and QCD scale tex2html_wrap_inline1340 .

Using the narrow width approximation, the cross-section reduces to

equation349

The possible reaction proceeding from an electron beam is

  1. tex2html_wrap_inline1358 .

An equivalent process has also been coded for a positron beam.
