Devon	Bob Scheele	photogallery, weather	Devon is Open for Cross Country Skiing on Saturday Dec.13. The Skate Ski Track is flat groomed and is in fair early season condition. The 5.3 km main loop on the golf course is set for classic skiing on a single track and is in fair early season condition. You may encounter early season hazards on the trails so ski with care. There are some changes to both the skate and classic routes to appease the turf management team at the golf course. Please stay on the groomed trails only while skiing on the golf course. Pigeon Lake	Mike Black	Pigeon Lake NSC, trail conditions, maps, weather Hidden Springs	Hello all, and welcome to another great season of cross country skiing here in West Central Alberta! It’s a Winter Wonderland here in the Pigeon Lake Region. The trails are slowly accumulating sufficient snow cover and conditions are looking ripe for user tracked trails. One word of caution though, there’s only 5-6 inches total snow pack so I would advise you bring out your old rock skis for the time being. PLPP…please be particularly watchful as you approach Little Brown Bat… formally known as Loop A. The snow pack is a bit thinner there due to recent trail work. Rundle’s is in about the same condition, only difference being the grass base … much easier on the skis! Hopefully, grooming and track setting will commence as weather conditions cooperate accordingly. You can find maps, trail updates and occasional contact updates at… plnsc.com Happy trails!	Dec 7
Red Deer	Don Wales	Red Deer NSC, weather, photogallery	Awaiting more snow in Red Deer. A skied in track exists around downtown's Barrett Park and River Bend has likely been packed for ski skating. This weekend is set for the Zone 4 Alberta Winter Games tryouts at River Bend. Great Chief Park and Heritage Ranch trails are not tracked. See the Red Deer Nordic Facebook page.
