Africa Society's monthly presentations usually involve panel discussions on timely topics concerning Africa. The Society attempts to have the presentations on the third Thursday of every month. 
 

Africa Week 1999

Africa Week is a week-long celebration of Africa through movies, music, presentations, and dance. This year's Africa Week will take place February 22–26, 1999 at the University of Alberta. 
 

Africa Society Conference 2000

This conference at the University of Alberta will take place February 25-26, 2000. The theme is Prospects for an African Renaissance: Culture, Development, Reconciliation. The Keynote Speaker will be: Nobel Laureate (Lit.) Wole Soyinka.
