- The first agreement between S.A.F. and L.O.
- Established management's right to hire and fire
workers,
direct and allocate work, and employ workers according to needs of the organization
- L.O. won the right for blue-collar workers to organize,
bargain collectively, and be recognized by employers.
- Employers recognized the legitimate right of unions to
represent the interests of not only their own members, but also that of the working class
as a whole
- L.O. and S.A.F. agreed that their constituent unions and
associations would meet on a regular basis to establish general terms and conditions of
employment on a multi-employer, industrial basis
