August 1982 The law granted workers the right of expression within the workplace
October 1982 It is possible now to set up trade union branches in firms with less than 50 employees and for trade unionists to collect dues in the workplace and during working time.

Trade union delegates are entitled to an increase in paid time off for union activities and have increased protection against dismissals.

November 1982 Management is obligated to negotiate real wages and working time once a year at the level of the firm.

Management is obligated to negotiate real wages once a year and the revision of job classifications once every five years at the national industry level.

December 1982 The law increased the power of of the health and safety committees.
July 1983 Trade unionists gained  greater access  to information in nationalized companies.
December 1985 Trade unionists were granted time off for trade union education purposes.
