Dr. Tang's research interests include

• Multi-scale modeling and simulation of soft materials
• Intermolecular forces, molecular binding, aggregation and assembly
• Interfaces, surface science and adhesion
• Broadly: application of mechanics and computational methods to problems in materials

Theoretical investigations performed in Dr. Tang's group range from quantum mechanical (QM) simulations, QM-molecular mechanics (MM) hybrid simulations, all-atom and coarse-grained molecular dynamics, continuum mechanics and statistical thermodynamics.
