Your Hosts:
The Student Umbrella for Social Justice (SUSJ) is a coalition of established social justice focused University of Alberta clubs formed in 2007. The coalition was created with the hope that, because of our overlapping focuses, collaboration can bring about positive change in the world in a more effective manner. This type of collaboration is vital since issues like domestic poverty, international poverty, cultural tolerance, human rights, democracy and the environment are all inter-related in a complex but real way. By combining our resources to host two major events on campus yearly, we hope to do much more than the clubs can do individually. The Stand Against Poverty event last semester was a great success, and we hope with your help that this event will be a hit.
