Welcome!
Hello, I’m Siddhartha! I am a MSc. Computing Science student at University of Alberta, advised by Dr. Nidhi Hegde.
I research statistical machine learning theory to integrate societal factors like fairness and reliability. We are in the “Age of Deployment” (language models, self-driving cars), but we need to ensure these models are safe and reliable. Currently, I focus on quantifying how good predictions are (Uncertainty Quantification, Conformal Prediction). Why? If models are not confident, then admitting “I don’t know” is safer than a wrong prediction.
