Introduction

At this point the sample photos selected here (see page index on the top left) are designed primarily to provide a "sense of place", occasionally informed an anthropological and historical sensibility evident in comments. Accordingly, the gallaries are organized by places and sometimes grouped in terms of consistent themes.
