BBQ Event
The Indian Student's Association of the University of Alberta and Kerala Pentecostal Assembly of Edmonton, in partnership with Bridge To Care, are co-hosting a BBQ. It will be at a private acreage in northwest Edmonton on Saturday, August 15th from 12:30pm to 3:30pm (OPTIONAL: drop-off available at 5:30pm for those who want to stay longer), and you are invited! The address will be provided by August 9th when we send out an email to confirm attendance and finalize numbers.

INDSA will soon present Diwali 2017, India's biggest and most celebrated festival. It is time for auditions again for Diwali 2017 performances!

Diwali is the one of most important holidays of the year for all Indians and we will celebrate the festival of lights on 21st October at Dinwoodie Lounge, Students' Union Building, UofA with scintillating performances and cultural programs.
Come spend an evening of festivities with friends, family and INDSA.
Freshers' Welcome Night 2017 - Parichay
INDSA presents its annual Freshers' Welcome Night - Parichay, a gathering for new and old faces to meet and mingle. Mr. and Ms. Fresher activity along with games (with prizes) will serve as introductions, while singing, dancing and other performances entertain all of us.
Come celebrate the Indo-Canadian culture, while you dine on some of the finest Indian cuisines. The night will end with a Bollywood DJ Night in Dinwoodie Lounge, SUB.

We will celebrate India's 71st Independence Day this year on 15th August from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at ECHA L1-490, University of Alberta. Join in the celebration of Independence, not only the India's one but the whole sub-continent's. Get to know about the cultural history and background of the Independence. We'll also have lovely dancing and singing performances. We'll have light snacks during the event for the audience. INDSA offers this complimentary event as a tribute to our country. For those who don't know, Jasper is an alpine town in western Alberta and famous for its scenic beauty. You can know more about Jasper here.
This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with the Indian Student Community in Edmonton and also students from other countries. However, this trip is not restricted to just students. Anyone is welcome! We will be providing breakfast and dinner during the trip. Here's our full itinerary:

Pyramid & Patricia Lake - 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (Sightseeing)

Maligne Canyon - 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (Sightseeing)
