2.2.3 Geotechnical centrifuge in education

Centrifuge modelling has been employed not only for research purpose but also for educational purpose. Even a simple model like a slope failure which is generated by increasing centrifugal acceleration can give students a clear image of failure mechanism, and make them understand the importance of the soil self-weight effects on the ground behavior.
