Teaching German in Alberta: A new Vision. The AATG has been given a unique opportunity to pass on to all of Alberta’s German teachers. We are planning a two-day PD event on Friday, January 30 – Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Airport (please see poster) with speakers from Alberta, BC and Ontario.
The list of speakers on the poster is an early one, and we are expecting more. I just wanted to get this information out now since our time is running short. I realize this is rather short notice, but we were just given the funds for this and had a specific time period given to us in which to put on this event. We at the AATG feel it will be very beneficial to all teachers, 4-12, with special sessions for bilingual school teachers, and we certainly hope to see as many as possible there. The costs for the conference are covered by generous support from the Goethe Institute, Toronto. The 30th is a system-wide PD day in Calgary, so no sub costs will need to be covered for Calgary teachers.
Teachers, please RSVP as soon as you possibly can so that we can begin to finalize our numbers with the hotel. Thank you so much and see you at the end of January!
