Geriatrics Academic Half Day (MED555)
Approach Online Modules VOPcast (voice-over-PowerPoint) is a PowerPoint slide show embedded with narration of the presenter(s), slide transition, animation, timing, etc. presented as an on-demand playback or downloadable video through internet access. PODcast is a series of digital audio files that are made available for downloading and playback on computers, IPODs, MP3 players, or compatible smart phones. In-Class Sessions Interactive Presentations (IP) are PowerPoint presentations engaging the learners in their learning process, increasing their interaction and participation in the teaching session. The response/vote/input from the learners are captured and displayed back to the learners with the use of a student response system, i-Clicker. An i-Clicker remote control will be provided to each participant for use during the session. Click here for instruction on the use of i-Clicker. Case-based Learning (CBL) are learner-centered sessions that focus on the building of knowledge. All learners work together to exam the case senerio provided and collaboratively address problems from a perspective that requires analysis. Intense interaction among all participants is expected.
