Research Interests : Ex-Vivo Heart Perfusion, pulsatile flow, turbulence, compliant tubes

Ex-Vivo heart perfusion (EVHP) involves removing a heart from a donor and maintaining it in a working mode. The aim of my research is to better understand the workings of the heart in the body to better replicate these conditions in the EVHP system initially developed by Dr. Darren Freed. Together with the other members of this group, I am working towards improving our understanding of pulsatile flow, its interactions with compliant-walled tubes, and the production of turbulence in pulsatile flows.
