Ex Vivo Heart Perfusion

Research Interests: Biomedical Engineering, EVHP, 3D Bio Printing, 3D Printing

Ex vivo heart perfusion (EVHP) has been proposed as a method of preserving heart’s beating function while transporting the heart from donor hospital to recipient hospital. EVHP research focus on developing mechanical flow loop to understand how fluid dynamic affect EVHP system performance. As part of the EVHP research, main focus of the summer project was designing a mould and casting elastomer to create mock aortic region in the flow loop.
