Research Interests : Fluid Dynamics SAGD Slotted Liners Particle Image Velocimetry Turbulent Jets

My research focuses on simulating the flow exiting the injection well of a steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) system. Specifically, my work is a fundamental study of the flow exiting a single slot on a slotted liner, which is a sand control device commonly used in SAGD systems. By using both 2D and stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (PIV) techniques, I am investigating the effects of aspect ratio and Reynolds number on the exiting jet flow.
