    Course Description

    This is a one-day meeting for dietitians, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding new developments in the management of obesity and the science and practice of nutrition support.

    Course Objectives

    On completion of this meeting, participants will be able to:
  • understand new approaches to the medical and dietary management of obesity
  • understand factors influencing nutrition support in critical care
  • identify strategies for preventing diarrheal diseases
  • understand the effects of nutritional status on outcomes of patients with hemodialysis
  • gain further understanding of the issues and application of nutrition
    support in acute and chronic conditions
