Sample Collection and Pre-concentrating Techniques

One of the disadvantages of nanosensors is that they lack of a large surface area. Therefore, it will take a lot of time for the target molecules to reach the sensor surface. To eliminate this disadvantage, preconcentrating techniques are often employed which enriches the target sample. For adsorbates from vapor phase, we have developed a thermal Marangoni concept to corral the adsorbates on to the sensor area. For analytes in liquids we have developed photo-electrochemical concept for pre-concentrating samples.
