Conference Banquet, Tuesday June 15th, 2003:

The banquet will begin with a reception at 6:30 pm. Dinner will follow at 7:30 pm. On the registration page, please indicate your main course preference: salmon, prime rib or vegetarian.


OPTIONAL TOURS, Tuesday June 15th, 2003:

Conference Participants may choose from one of these two optional tours and register for them on the registration page.

Tour #1 Banff Sight seeing and Gondola Ride

Depart from The Banff Centre at 1:15pm via air-conditioned motor coach, driving along the Tunnel Mountain Drive. The first stop is at the "Hoodoos" viewpoint to see the beautiful U shaped, glacier created Bow Valley and unique rock formations called "Hoodoos". From here we continue on to Lake Minnewanka, which is the largest body of water in Banff National Park. You will have approx. 30 min to walk along the lakeshore. After a quick photo stop at Two Jack Lake, you will visit "Cascade Rock Gardens" where you will see the most famous scenery of Banff Avenue. You may want to see inside of "Canada Place" while visiting the gardens. Next we go to the Sulpher Mountain and ride Gondola up to the top of one of the Sulpher Mountain peaks which is the highest view point one could visit without any strenuous mountain climbing in Banff National Park. You will have some time to explore this area. On the way back to the Banff Centre, there is another photo stop at Surprise Corner where you could enjoy the beautiful view of the Banff Springs Hotel and Bow Valley again. You will come back to The Banff Centre by 5:15 p.m. at the latest. Fee includes Sulpher Mountain Gondola ticket. Please have your Camera ready!!

Tour #2 Bow Valley Park Way, Johnston Canyon and Lake Louise

Depart from The Banff Centre at 1:00pm via air-conditioned motor coach, driving along Bow Valley Parkway about half an hour and stop at "Johnston Canyon" for a short nature walk to the lower falls. We will have a photo stop at Castle Mountain Village to view and enjoy the giant rock of Castle Mountain. From here drive along High way 1 to Lake Louise, the jewel of
the Canadian Rockies, located about 60 km west of Banff. Enjoy approx. 1 hour to relax and perhaps have a tea break at Chateau Lake Louise or stroll along the lakeshore to enjoy the beauty of Nature. Will return to The Banff Centre by 5:15 p.m. Please have your Camera ready!!
