Tuning Methods for PID Controllers Based on Fictitious Reference Iterative Tuning

| Various design schemes of model-free controllers that do not require any system models have been considered in the last decade. FRIT(Fictitious Reference Iterative Tuning) method that directly computes the control parameters from operating data have been proposed as one of model-free controller design. This presentation will explain two PID tuning methods based on FRIT. One of them is based on neural networks and the other is based on the control performance index. |
