Research & Industrial experience :
  • 2013/10 to 2014/06 - Lead Research Assistant at Yangtze University, China.
    • Served as the lead research assistant managing a team of researchers to determine the formation mechanism and main controlling factors of carboniferous carbonate reservoir in the Eastern Region of Sichuan.
    • Set project milestones, delegated tasks, and organized discussion meetings.
    • Investigated the main controlling factors affecting reservoir formation; the control of sedimentary facies and lithology for reservoir development, and the control of dolomitization and paleokarst action.
    • Observed significant amounts of thin sections and generated a map of rock types that make up the Eastern Region of Sichuan to analyse different diagenesis stages and formation mechanisms.
  • 2014/06 to 2014/09 - Research Technician at one of the Geo-logging Company of Shengli Oilfield, Dongying, China.
    • Assisted the Southern Project Department with interpreting the result map of logging digital processing data to identify oil, water and gas layers.
    • Enhanced skills in using well logging curves to analyse oil and strata properties, such as rock porosity, permeability, and rock type.
    • Evaluated different well completion techniques (such as open hole with slotted linear and horizontal open hole) based on different geological conditions and oil properties.
    • Identified and analysed non-geological factors that can cause abnormal peaks in well logging curves.
