Changqing (Lucy) Liu obtained a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degree in Analytical Chemistry in China. She is Currently a Master's student in the Environmental Health Sciences in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Alberta.
Changqing's research is developing analytical techniques for fingerprinting important components in Ginkgo Biloba. She is applying her techniques to analyze active ingredients (terpene, flavonal glycosides) and the toxic ingredients (ginkgolic acids) in ginkgo products.
