Sean Price

Sean Price joined the University of Alberta as the Associate Vice-President of Alumni Affairs in November 2009. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of External Relations, Price is the guiding force behind the university's strategic engagement of more than 240,000 alumni.

Price is no stranger to building relationships and community for a dynamic organization. He brings with him more than fifteen years experience in marketing, brand development and community engagement. Price played a leadership role with the Edmonton Oilers, organization, holding the roles of Director of Marketing, Vice-President of Ticket Sales, and Vice-President of Family brands. He was instrumental in the planning of the 2003 Molson Canadian Heritage Classic, as well as the marketing campaigns during the Oilers 2006 Stanley Cup run.

As the Associate Vice-President of Alumni Affairs, Price oversees all alumni communication initiatives and activities across Canada and internationally. He is also the Executive Director of the university Alumni Association. Price oversees the staff of the Office of Alumni Affairs and oversees a diverse range of community engagement initiatives with alumni, from long-standing activities such as the production of the U of A New Trail magazine and Reunion Weekend, to the University of Alberta annual Guinness world record setting dodge-ball event.

Price was raised in western Canada and has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Alberta ('95), as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
