VASA | Visual Arts Student Assosiation

VASA serves several purposes at the U of A. We organize organize several art shows throughout the year, and look after various fund raising events such as the annual fall and winter Art Auction to raise money for that years graduating class. All U of A students in Art and Design are welcome to contribute and participate in these events, and to come out to meetings. Meetings are currently the first Wednesday of each month, at 5:00 in the 500 level painting studio, with a night of pizza and drinks afterwards.

The next meeting is on Wed, Nov 18.

On this site, we have also have research on a few of the places you can go for an MFA after completing a BFA at the University of Alberta. Our alumni are welcome to share their experiences there as well!

Upcomming Events, and important dates

Fall Art Auction: Cool Beans: This year's graduating class is required to contribute work to the art auction. All other undergraduates are welcome to contribute as well. Non graduates get 30% back from sale of their work.

Work is due for submission on Friday, Nov 13, and is being collected in the Sculpture Studio in FAB. Don't be late! It's a great opportunity to get some work out of the basement and show it off!
